Social media marketing is widely accepted as a necessary business strategy, yet it is the distinguishing feature between Return on Investment and Return on Influence that is the source of much debate. As the controversy receives more attention from marketers and economists, it becomes evident that the solution may not lie in the way we define social media in term of ROI, but the way we define ROI in terms of social media.
