College Student Debt in America

By Admin, January 10, 2013

Did you know that almost 75% of students graduating from 4-year colleges have student loan debt? And of them, the average 2010 debt for private school graduates ($25,350) was only about $6,000 more than debt from public school grads, even though private school tuition is far more costly. Perhaps it’s because family income of private students is higher than their public counterparts, or maybe because only about 50% of public students apply for low-interest federal loans, whereas almost two-thirds of private students obtain these cheaper funds.
