Revamping the Student Loan System

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the changes will save American taxpayers $61 billion over 10 years by forcing commercial banks out of the federal student loan market. Higher education has long been costly but hopefully these changes will not only make it more affordable but more attainable for those who choose to pursue a higher degree.
