$36 billion in loans to renewable energy technologies

The Obama administration has poured billions of dollars into electric-car and other clean-energy technologies, some of it in direct financial support to companies and some in the form of loan guarantees. Failed solar-panel company Solyndra is the best known of the Energy Department’s loan guarantee recipients. Here are the renewable-energy sectors that benefited from the $36 billion in guarantees.
